- Children's Memorial Flag Day
- On April 27 Prairie Advocacy Center invited hundreds of individuals to recognize and remember those children whose lives are lost to violence each year. Those invited included professionals from all disciplines working with children. The event included the presentation of the Children's Memorial Flag, guest speakers, entertainment, a moment of silence, a balloon release, carousel rides and breakfast. Thank you to all who attended, to our co-sponsor (Shawnee County Sheriff's Office), and to those who helped make this event a success. We would like to especially thank Kyler Carpenter for sharing his musical talents as well as Margo Martinez for lending her beautiful voice. You each added a wonderful element to this event! We look forward to hosting this event again next year and we hope you will be part of this special day.
